PN-EN10219-1,2

Cold finished structural welded hollow sections of non-alloy and fine grain steels

The scope of the standard includes: cold-formed round, square, and rectangular welded hollow sections without subsequent thermal processing.

The steels are classified as follows similarly to the classification provided in the EN 10210 standard:

· Non-alloy steels

· Fine grain steels

Non-alloy steels are classified in the same way as specified in the EN 10210 standard

In the case of resistance classes of fine grain steels, four quality groups have been established:

· N resilience testing at the temperature of –20 °C

· NL resilience testing at the temperature of –50 ° C

· M resilience testing at the temperature of –20 ° C

· ML resilience testing at the temperature of –50 °C

The steels are designated with the letter “S”, then with the minimum value of the yield strength limit “Re” (e.g. 235, 275, 355, 420, 460), followed by the letters that designate the manufacturing class ( JR , J0 ,J2 ,N ,NL ,M , ML) and the letter “H” which designates a hollow product.

The letters N designate the production input in the Normalized condition

The letters M designate the production input in the After Thermomechanical Processing condition

ATTENTION! The tests performed on those sections are the same as specified in the EN 10210 standard

Mandatory tests
for the TC1 category for the TC2 category
Ladle analysis
Tensile testing of the base material in room temperature
Tensile testing of the weld in room temperature for D>=508 mm
Resilience testing of the base material in low temperature
Bend testing of the weld
Resilience testing of the weld in low temperature
Tightness testing
Dimension verification
NDT of the weld
NDT of the base material in order to identify delamination
NDT of pipe ends in order to identify delamination
NDT of sheet edges and strips in order to identify delamination
Additional tests
Check analysis
Wall thickness measurement at a distance from pipe ends
